Auction result misses estimated price range
In November this year a collector was able to acquire the work A racing jockey 18 x 26 cm. (7 x 10 1/4 in.) by Jack Butler Yeats for EUR 3,328.00. This price was achieved in the auction The Irish SaleVision & Voice at Bonhams in Dublin and was even below the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Butler Yeats achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Whistle of a Jacket in May 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,103,750.00 (€ 1,850,462.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A racing jockey 18 x 26 cm. (7 x 10 1/4 in.) von Jack Butler Yeats für EUR 3.328,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Irish SaleVision & Voice bei Bonhams in Dublin erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Butler Yeats erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Whistle of a Jacket im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.103.750,00 (€ 1.850.462,00).
