Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2004 Christies in Paris held the auction TABLEAUX D'AMERIQUE LATINE, which included the work Nice to Meet You (alternated) (2) by Jac Leirner. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,560.00 20% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jac Leirner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nomes (Names) in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 177,681.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion TABLEAUX D'AMERIQUE LATINE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nice to Meet You (alternated) (2) von Jac Leirner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.560,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jac Leirner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nomes (Names) im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 177.681,30).
