In May 2019 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Jaap Egmond. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 7,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jaap Egmond - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Toetsenspel 1 op 1 (Game of Keys 1 on 1), which sold at auction in November 2018 for EUR 17,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jaap Egmond zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 7.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jaap Egmond mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Toetsenspel 1 op 1 (Game of Keys 1 on 1) beobachtet, die im November 2018 für EUR 17.500,00 versteigert wurde.
