Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2001 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART, which included the work Mille Moulins by Jaap Egmond. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of NLG 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of NLG 3,290.00 (€ 1,581.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jaap Egmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Toetsenspel 1 op 1 (Game of Keys 1 on 1) in November 2018 with an auction result of EUR 17,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART INCLUDING BELGIAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mille Moulins von Jaap Egmond zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von NLG 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von NLG 3.290,00 (€ 1.581,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jaap Egmond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Toetsenspel 1 op 1 (Game of Keys 1 on 1) im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 17.500,00.
