Despite a disappointment, a good price for Ivan Silych Goriushkin-Sorokopudov
This work of art by Ivan Silych Goriushkin-Sorokopudov could be acquired at Sothebys in London in June 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Paintings auction, the work The Vision changed hands for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 50,118.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Despite this disappointing result, The Vision is the most expensive artwork by Ivan Silych Goriushkin-Sorokopudov that we have observed at auction so far.
