Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ivan Silych Goriushkin-Sorokopudov could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Russian Art and Paintings auction, the work In The Old Believers' Monastery changed hands for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 41,027.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Ivan Silych Goriushkin-Sorokopudov have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2008 by the work The Vision at GBP 39,650.00 (€ 50,118.93).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ivan Silych Goriushkin-Sorokopudov konnte im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Russian Art and Paintings wechselte die Arbeit In The Old Believers' Monastery für GBP 29.300,00 (€ 41.027,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Ivan Silych Goriushkin-Sorokopudov wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2008 die Arbeit The Vision mit GBP 39.650,00 (€ 50.118,93).
