Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Paintings, which included the work Portrait Of A Lady In Church by Ivan Silych Goriushkin-Sorokopudov. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 30,000.00 (€ 37,921.01), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Ivan Silych Goriushkin-Sorokopudov have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 39,650.00 (€ 50,118.93) in June 2008 for the work The Vision.
