The work View of Sevastopol from the Northern Bank by Ivan Aivazovsky was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 100,800.00 (€ 112,602.58), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ivan Aivazovsky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American Shipping Off The Rock of Gibraltar in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,708,000.00 (€ 4,018,535.80).

Die Arbeit View of Sevastopol from the Northern Bank von Ivan Aivazovsky wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 112.602,58) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ivan Aivazovsky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American Shipping Off The Rock of Gibraltar im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.708.000,00 (€ 4.018.535,80).
