It changed hands for a price of GBP 491,250.00 (€ 576,847.60) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ivan Aivazovsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work American Shipping Off The Rock of Gibraltar in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,708,000.00 (€ 4,018,535.80).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 491.250,00 (€ 576.847,60) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300.000,00 – 500.000,00.
