The work Hopeful 5 by Isshaq Ismail was auctioned at Phillips in 12 - in April this year. It achieved a price of GBP 30,480.00 (€ 34,737.26), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 52%. Admittedly, works by Isshaq Ismail have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nkabom 2 in March last year with an auction result of GBP 277,200.00 (€ 328,651.80).

Die Arbeit Hopeful 5 von Isshaq Ismail kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in 12 - zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 30.480,00 (€ 34.737,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 52%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isshaq Ismail auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nkabom 2 im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 277.200,00 (€ 328.651,80).
