Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Israel Lund. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,798.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Israel Lund achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 141,092.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Israel Lund zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.798,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Israel Lund erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 141.092,54).
