Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ismail Gulgee was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,565.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ismail Gulgee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 77,500.00 (€ 65,137.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ismail Gulgee wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.565,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ismail Gulgee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 77.500,00 (€ 65.137,00).
