Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Untitled (Polo Players) by Ismail Gulgee was auctioned at Bonhams in October 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 12,112.50 (€ 14,350.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Admittedly, works by Ismail Gulgee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 77,500.00 (€ 65,137.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Polo Players) von Ismail Gulgee kam im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 12.112,50 (€ 14.350,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 21%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ismail Gulgee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 77.500,00 (€ 65.137,00).
