It achieved a price of USD 8,820.00 (€ 8,112.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Ismail Gulgee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 77,500.00 (€ 65,137.00).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Old Man); Untitled (Desert); Untitled (Market Scene); Untitled (Color Swatch) von Ismail Gulgee wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.820,00 (€ 8.112,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ismail Gulgee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 77.500,00 (€ 65.137,00).
