Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Cosmic Hexagon Series) by Ismail Gulgee was auctioned at Christies in September 2021. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 32,391.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ismail Gulgee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman), which sold at auction in November 2017 for USD 77,500.00 (€ 65,137.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Cosmic Hexagon Series) von Ismail Gulgee kam im September 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 32.391,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ismail Gulgee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman) beobachtet, die im November 2017 für USD 77.500,00 (€ 65.137,00) versteigert wurde.
