Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Ismail Gulgee was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2021. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 15,966.96) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ismail Gulgee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 77,500.00 (€ 65,137.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ismail Gulgee kam im März 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 15.966,96) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ismail Gulgee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pakistani untitled (Dancing Woman) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 77.500,00 (€ 65.137,00).
