Auction result well in line with expectations

In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, which included the work Paire de Chiens courant (A pair of hounds) by Isidore-Jules Bonheur. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,770.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isidore-Jules Bonheur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Steeplechase in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 141,867.93).
