Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art, which included the work French Retour Au Pesage (Return To The Enclosure) by Isidore-Jules Bonheur. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 31,431.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isidore-Jules Bonheur have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Steeplechase in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 141,867.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit French Retour Au Pesage (Return To The Enclosure) von Isidore-Jules Bonheur zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 31.431,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isidore-Jules Bonheur auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Steeplechase im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.000,00 (€ 141.867,93).
