A top price for Isidore-Jules Bonheur - as previously expected
The work The Steeplechase by Isidore-Jules Bonheur was auctioned at Christies in New York in December 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 168,000.00 (€ 141,867.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Steeplechase is the most expensive artwork by Isidore-Jules Bonheur that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit The Steeplechase von Isidore-Jules Bonheur kam im Dezember 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 168.000,00 (€ 141.867,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Steeplechase das teuerste Kunstwerk von Isidore-Jules Bonheur, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
