This work of art by Isidore-Jules Bonheur could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction, the work French horse And Jockey changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 9,213.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isidore-Jules Bonheur achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Steeplechase in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 141,867.93).
