Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Landscape With Figures On A Frozen River by Isaac van Ostade was sold in the Old Masters Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2017. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,792.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac van Ostade achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Frozen River Landscape With A Waggoner Halted At An Inn And A Horse Pulling A Laden Sleigh Off The Ice In The Foreground in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 1,833,250.00 (€ 2,204,276.57).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.792,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden.
