Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An interior of a barn with a peasant woman by Isaac van Ostade was sold in the Master Paintings Part II auction at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 16,380.00 (€ 14,609.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac van Ostade achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Frozen River Landscape With A Waggoner Halted At An Inn And A Horse Pulling A Laden Sleigh Off The Ice In The Foreground in July 2010 with an auction result of GBP 1,833,250.00 (€ 2,204,276.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit An interior of a barn with a peasant woman von Isaac van Ostade wurde im Januar letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master Paintings Part II bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.380,00 (€ 14.609,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaac van Ostade erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Frozen River Landscape With A Waggoner Halted At An Inn And A Horse Pulling A Laden Sleigh Off The Ice In The Foreground im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.833.250,00 (€ 2.204.276,57).
