Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Yishan Island, The Bridge (Ten Thousand Waves) by Isaac Julien was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in March 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,616.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Isaac Julien have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baltimore. in November last year with an auction result of EUR 59,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Yishan Island, The Bridge (Ten Thousand Waves) von Isaac Julien wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.616,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isaac Julien auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baltimore. im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 59.400,00.
