In June 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Fantome Creole Series (Cinema Cinema) by Isaac Julien. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,507.69) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Isaac Julien - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Baltimore., which sold at auction in November last year for EUR 59,400.00.

Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fantome Creole Series (Cinema Cinema) von Isaac Julien zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.507,69) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Isaac Julien mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Baltimore. beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für EUR 59.400,00 versteigert wurde.
