Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2024 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & British Drawings, which included the work View of a formal garden with sphinx fountains by Isaac de Moucheron. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,404.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac de Moucheron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of the Vatican, Rome, with the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, from the Janiculum in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 215,579.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2024 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of a formal garden with sphinx fountains von Isaac de Moucheron zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.404,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaac de Moucheron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of the Vatican, Rome, with the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, from the Janiculum im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 215.579,01).
