In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work View of the Belvedere, Rome, with travellers and donkeys in the foreground by Isaac de Moucheron. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,606.10) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac de Moucheron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of the Vatican, Rome, with the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, from the Janiculum in July 2012 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 215,579.01).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit View of the Belvedere, Rome, with travellers and donkeys in the foreground von Isaac de Moucheron zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.606,10) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaac de Moucheron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of the Vatican, Rome, with the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica, from the Janiculum im Juli 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 215.579,01).
