In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work Kildonan Beach, Isle of Arran by I. Lesley Main. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,485.52), 28% above the upper estimate. Other works by I. Lesley Main have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,728.73) in March 2002 for the work Scott's flowers.
