Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures, which included the work Daisies in the morning; and Poppies in a jug by I. Lesley Main. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 998.75 (€ 1,632.69), 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by I. Lesley Main have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,728.73) in March 2002 for the work Scott's flowers.

Im März 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Daisies in the morning; and Poppies in a jug von I. Lesley Main zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 998,75 (€ 1.632,69) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von I. Lesley Main haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.728,73) im März 2002 für die Arbeit Scott's flowers beobachtet.
