In October 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Important Silver, Objects of Vertu and Russian Works of Art, which included the work Le Petit Bourgeois by Iosif Mikhailovich Gurvich. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 15,535.00 (€ 15,722.09). With this result, Le Petit Bourgeois is even the most expensive work of art by Iosif Mikhailovich Gurvich that we have observed at auctions so far.
