Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Breakers) by Indra Dugar was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,114.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Indra Dugar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parshwanath Hills; Mehrangar Fort (Jodhpur); Jagmandir Pichola Lake, which sold at auction in December 2015 for INR 1,875,000.00 (€ 26,072.84).
