In September 2016 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Mist and Mountains by Indra Dugar. The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,669.51) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Indra Dugar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Parshwanath Hills; Mehrangar Fort (Jodhpur); Jagmandir Pichola Lake in December 2015 with an auction result of INR 1,875,000.00 (€ 26,072.84).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mist and Mountains von Indra Dugar zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.669,51) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Indra Dugar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Parshwanath Hills; Mehrangar Fort (Jodhpur); Jagmandir Pichola Lake im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 1.875.000,00 (€ 26.072,84).
