This artwork by Ilya Bolotowsky achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November this year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session auction, the work Relief sold for USD 88,900.00 (€ 81,499.82) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ilya Bolotowsky; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Rectangle Within a Circle sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of USD 107,950.00 (€ 101,323.45).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ilya Bolotowsky erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Relief für USD 88.900,00 (€ 81.499,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ilya Bolotowsky; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Rectangle Within a Circle im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 107.950,00 (€ 101.323,45).
