Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue Horizontal by Ilya Bolotowsky was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 15,240.00 (€ 14,399.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ilya Bolotowsky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rectangle Within a Circle in May this year with an auction result of USD 107,950.00 (€ 101,323.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blue Horizontal von Ilya Bolotowsky kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 15.240,00 (€ 14.399,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ilya Bolotowsky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rectangle Within a Circle im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.950,00 (€ 101.323,45).
