Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Stella by Igor Mitoraj was worth EUR 240,000.00 to a buyer in May this year. This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Art at Il Ponte and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 80,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igor Mitoraj - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work For Hadrian, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 584,000.00 (€ 529,513.10).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit Stella von Igor Mitoraj war einem Käufer im Mai diesen Jahres EUR 240.000,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Il Ponte erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 80.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Igor Mitoraj mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit For Hadrian beobachtet, die im März 2020 für USD 584.000,00 (€ 529.513,10) versteigert wurde.
