Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Igael Tumarkin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2011. The price achieved of USD 5,938.00 (€ 4,577.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Igael Tumarkin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition, which sold at auction in April 2001 for USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,268.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Igael Tumarkin kam im Dezember 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.938,00 (€ 4.577,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Igael Tumarkin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition beobachtet, die im April 2001 für USD 8.225,00 (€ 9.268,65) versteigert wurde.
