In February 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Living With Art, which included the work Untitled (three works) by Ibram Lassaw. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,680.53), 33% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ibram Lassaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work October Continuity in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 172,958.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living With Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (three works) von Ibram Lassaw zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.680,53) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ibram Lassaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit October Continuity im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 172.958,74).
