The work Peace by Ibram Lassaw was auctioned at Christies in New York in February 2016. The result of USD 1,000.00 (€ 920.13) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ibram Lassaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work October Continuity in March 2016 with an auction result of USD 197,000.00 (€ 172,958.74).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Peace von Ibram Lassaw kam im Februar 2016 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 1.000,00 (€ 920,13) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ibram Lassaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit October Continuity im März 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 197.000,00 (€ 172.958,74).
