Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Smile Target by Nyoman Masriadi was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,500,000.00 – 2,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,625,000.00 (€ 191,228.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Nyoman Masriadi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,820,000.00 (€ 795,442.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Smile Target von Nyoman Masriadi kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.500.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.625.000,00 (€ 191.228,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nyoman Masriadi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.820.000,00 (€ 795.442,36).
