In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Bernafas (Breathe) by Nyoman Masriadi. The auction ended at the price of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 57,790.75), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 400,000.00 – 500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nyoman Masriadi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) in October 2008 with an auction result of HKD 7,820,000.00 (€ 795,442.36).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bernafas (Breathe) von Nyoman Masriadi zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 57.790,75) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nyoman Masriadi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Man From Bantul (The Final Round) im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.820.000,00 (€ 795.442,36).
