This artwork by Hugh Bolton Jones achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2007. In the The House Sale auction, the work Early spring sold for USD 14,400.00 (€ 10,502.52) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hugh Bolton Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Brook in Autumn in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 90,000.00 (€ 66,899.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hugh Bolton Jones erzielte im Juli 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The House Sale wurde die Arbeit Early spring für USD 14.400,00 (€ 10.502,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugh Bolton Jones auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Brook in Autumn im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 90.000,00 (€ 66.899,58).
