Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Autumn by Hugh Bolton Jones was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2005. The price achieved of USD 20,400.00 (€ 16,918.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hugh Bolton Jones - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Brook in Autumn, which sold at auction in May 2007 for USD 90,000.00 (€ 66,899.58).
