Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Huang Yong Ping achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Amerigo Vespucci sold for HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 153,510.78) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Huang Yong Ping; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le carte du monde sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of HKD 3,367,500.00 (€ 294,381.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Yong Ping erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Amerigo Vespucci für HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 153.510,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Huang Yong Ping; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Le carte du monde im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 3.367.500,00 (€ 294.381,13).
