Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Fishing Handbag by Huang Hongtao. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,583.73) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Hongtao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Volcano in December last year with an auction result of HKD 390,600.00 (€ 46,807.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing Handbag von Huang Hongtao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.583,73) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Hongtao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Volcano im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 390.600,00 (€ 46.807,74).
