This artwork by Huang Hongtao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Nameless Mountain sold for HKD 378,000.00 (€ 44,876.71) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Huang Hongtao; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Volcano sold at auction in December last year with the realized price of HKD 390,600.00 (€ 46,807.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Hongtao erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Nameless Mountain für HKD 378.000,00 (€ 44.876,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Huang Hongtao; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Volcano im Dezember letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 390.600,00 (€ 46.807,74).
