Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Huang Gang was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,067.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Gang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Star (Triptych) in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 361,000.00 (€ 228,408.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Huang Gang wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.067,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Gang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Star (Triptych) im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 361.000,00 (€ 228.408,73).
