Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art, which included the work Himalaya Eye by Huang Gang. The price achieved of HKD 94,400.00 (€ 10,107.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Gang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Star (Triptych) in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 361,000.00 (€ 228,408.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Himalaya Eye von Huang Gang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 94.400,00 (€ 10.107,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Gang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Star (Triptych) im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 361.000,00 (€ 228.408,73).
