A top price for Huang Gang
This artwork by Huang Gang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work Red Star (Triptych) sold for USD 361,000.00 (€ 228,408.73) - well above the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00. This high result makes Red Star (Triptych) the most expensive artwork by Huang Gang that we have observed at auctions so far.
