Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Back To Shangri-La by Huang Gang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. It changed hands for a price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 26,096.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 180,000.00 – 280,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Gang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Star (Triptych) in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 361,000.00 (€ 228,408.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Back To Shangri-La von Huang Gang kam im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 26.096,07) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 180.000,00 – 280.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Gang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Star (Triptych) im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 361.000,00 (€ 228.408,73).
