signed Changyang Daoren Huang Ding, dated dingwei (1727) of the Yongzheng reign, the twentieth day of the third lunar month, inscribed, with four seals of the artist, huang ding, zun gu, zi zun gu hao kuang ting, yi sheng hao ru ming shan you, and five collectors' seals, tong xia, yushi, ai zhi shan lin, bo yuan jian zhen. Titleslip by Wu Huayuan (1893-1972), signed Wu Huayuan. Colophon by Hu Tongxia, signed Danzhai Hu Tongxia

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Miraculous Peaks Of Ten Thousand Trees by Huang Ding was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 218,500.00 (€ 169,959.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Other works by Huang Ding have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2013 the work Landscape was auctioned for HKD 3,335,000.00 (€ 316,474.18).
