Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Huang Ding achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. In the The Roy and Marilyn Papp Collection of Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape After Huang Gongwang sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 38,930.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Ding have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 3,335,000.00 (€ 316,474.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Ding erzielte im September 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Roy and Marilyn Papp Collection of Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang für USD 43.750,00 (€ 38.930,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Ding auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.335.000,00 (€ 316.474,18).
